Attire tips for newborn sessions

I suggest staying away from wearing all black during indoor sessions. On a similar note, I request staying away from any bright or loud colors as they can reflect on your faces and skin. If possible, stick to a lighter or soft color palette. Neutrals are always great. Muted or greyed tones and earth tones work best if you'd like to wear colors. Solids tend to work best over prints to keep the look simple and focused on baby and family. But simple prints like polka dots, simple stripes, plaids and florals can work well as long as they aren't incredibly busy. Some tones that always photograph nicely: whites, creams, blush pink/light mauve, grey, denim, taupe, tans, olive green always work well. In terms of what to wear specifically, some options:  jeans with a casual blouse or sweater, a casual maxi dress, or leggings paired with a long tunic style sweater or blouse. Try to think of something you might wear comfortably around the house without shoes (that is not pajamas or athletic wear), that you feel good in.
