Attire tips for family sessions

I always suggest staying away from any neons, bright or really loud colors as they can reflect on your faces and skin. If possible, stick to a more natural or soft color palette.

Neutrals are always great because you have to worry less about trying to match things up. Most neutral tones fit well together just by nature. Neutrals: creams, grey, olive green, taupe, tans and browns. Navy blue, denim and chambray always work well and I lump them in as neutrals as well. Additionally: blush pink, light mauve and black fit right in with neutrals too.

If you have a bold color that you'd really like to wear, jeweled tones tend to work best. think emerald green, deep golden yellows, rich magenta, etc.

Solids tend to work best over prints to keep the look simple and focused your family. But simple prints like plaids, spots and florals can work well as long as everyone in the group isn’t in prints.

As for what to wear, wear clothes that you feel good in. Keep kids clothes comfortable. In order to look our best, we have to feel our best. Whether that’s in jeans, dresses, sneakers or boots, it’s up to you.
